Banks do not treat debit or checking cards like a credit card.
It's important to understand that when using a debit or bank checking card, your funds may be held once for the bank's verification purposes each time you place an order. Then, held a second time when we process your sale.
These holds are internal banking functions of the bank that handles your account and not controlled by us.
Additionally, be aware that a pre-authorization is not a charge. Pre-authorization occurs to check your account for available funds, hold those funds, and validate the address information you provide against the card company’s record.
Any holds on your funds will eventually drop off your account after a short time (sometimes up to 10 business days), which is determined by your bank’s policies.
If you have any questions about a hold, check first with your bank.
